Justice For Saira

Ending the silence of child marriage

1 note

I fully support the ‘Justice For Saira’ Campaign. Child marriages are more common than we realise and it has to be stopped to save these girls from their legal rights to grow up in a safe and secure environment. Please sign the petition and help spread the word of this terrible injustice.

Jo Cameron, a businesswoman and contestant from Alan Sugar’s ‘The Apprentice’ supports our campaign! This is a great testimony from her.

Who is Saira?

Saira was the victim of a Bangladesh child marriage to a paedophile when she was 13 years old.  In allowing this marriage, the Bangladesh government have broken the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The international petition, ‘Justice For Saira’ was created by Saira’s daughter, Sami Ahmed, when she was 19 years old. What started as a small but hopeful cause has now turned into an online petition with 8000 signatures from people all across the globe, and this figure grows every day.

To become a member of this journey, please add your name to the online petition:
